The SAT and SSAT are immensely important exams and there is a tremendous industry of courses, books, consultants and sometimes conflicting advice. I try to cut through the noise and create and deliver a learning plan for the student that is effective over the long-term. This involves:

- Habituating the student to the exam format and time constraints
- Focusing on gradual and sequential mastery of maths skills
- Intelligently teaching vocabulary - not relying on blind repetition of flashcards
- Practising of summarising texts to improve comprehension
